Your Restylane Lyft Consultation

During consultation, Houston plastic surgeon Dr. Azita Madjidi will listen to your concerns and explain different forms of fillers that would work for you. Filler injection is performed in the office after full evaluation of the areas of your concern. We will discuss the choice of Restylane Lyft over other fillers to treat the area of your concern.

"I personally perform the injections and do not delegate to a nurse or physician assistance."

Restylane Lyft, just like Restylane® and JUVÉDERM®, is made of hyaluronic acid – a natural complex sugar found in all living cells, and one of the major components of the dermis, along with collagen and elastin. Restylane Lyft has a higher concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid and is more concentrated than Restylane®. It is thicker, therefore needs to be placed deeper. It helps more with deeper wrinkles and provides more volume. It also lasts longer than Restylane® or JUVÉDERM®.

Allergies are extremely rare with the use of Restylane Lyft because it is free of animal products and the body recognizes hyaluronic acid as not foreign. Allergy testing is not necessary prior to treatment.

A topical anesthetic will be placed over the area that is to be injected. Restylane Lyft contains 0.3% lidocaine, a mild pain killer, and injections are made more comfortable. Ice and pressure will be applied for a few minutes in order to prevent and minimize bruising and swelling.

Restylane Lyft may be combined with other fillers at the same time or at different times. Thinner fillers such as Restylane® or JUVÉDERM® may be injected more superficially for further correction.

It can be used with BOTOX® Cosmetic for a greater effect, especially on deep wrinkles. BOTOX® Cosmetic will have to be injected at least a week before the filler to minimize the risk of spreading the filler away from the treated area.

After Restylane Lyft Treatment

Swelling and redness can happen after the injection, but should subside after two to five days. The results with Restylane Lyft last about six months longer than with Restylane® or JUVÉDERM®. The effect is immediate and there is no down time. An evaluation at two weeks is recommended to see if there are areas that need further injection. At nine months to a year, the treatment may need to be renewed to maintain the results longer.
