If you are at a healthy weight and you exercise regularly, you may be frustrated by stubborn pockets of fat that will not go away, despite your best fitness and dietary efforts. Fortunately, Dr. Azita Madjidi has a solution. She proudly offers VASER® liposuction at her Houston clinic. VASER®, or Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance, is an advanced type of liposuction that uses ultrasound waves to liquefy fat cells before they are gently suctioned out. Because this method of liposuction targets specific areas and leaves surrounding tissue unaffected, results are predictable and satisfying. After treatment, you can enjoy leaner body contours that better complement your healthy lifestyle. To learn more about VASER® liposuction and to find out if it is right for you, call our office today.
First, an anesthesiologist will administer either IV sedation or general anesthesia (these options will be discussed during your consultation). Before administering VASER® liposuction, Dr. Madjidi will inject a sterile saline solution into the treatment area. This solution expands the fat layer for easier treatment. It also numbs the area and contracts blood vessels so that you can experience minimal discomfort and bruising. She will then insert a tiny probe under the skin, which emits gentle ultrasound waves. These sound waves liquefy your unwanted fat cells while leaving surrounding tissue intact. Finally, Dr. Madjidi will gently suction out the liquefied fat cells.
VASER® liposuction is suitable for most parts of the body. This treatment is so gentle and precise that it can even target smaller areas of the body and face. In fact, many patients choose to undergo this procedure to enhance and define their jaw lines. Other common areas for VASER® liposuction treatment include:
VASER liposuction in the ideal method for the treatment of gynecomastia. In gynecomastia, fat is surrounded by dense fibrous breast tissue but can be reached byVASER, melted and aspirated. It is also a great method for redo liposuction where there is scar tissue surrounding the fat. Finally, VASER can be used to tighten the skin from inside for an enhanced result.
In addition to being extremely effective, VASER® liposuction is quite gentle. Because it targets only the unwanted fat tissue, you can experience minimal bruising following your treatment. When your healing is complete, you can expect predictable outcomes. Another advantage of VASER® liposuction is that it involves minimal recovery and downtime. After your treatment, you will wear a compression garment to help your body adjust to its new contours. You should also budget time to rest following your treatment, and you should avoid strenuous activity for the next two to three weeks. Dr. Madjidi will provide specific instructions for successful recovery, depending upon your individual needs.
If you would like to achieve lean body contours that complement your healthy lifestyle choices, VASER® liposuction can help you achieve your goals. Please contact us today to schedule a consultation with Dr. Madjidi.
